“We have been reminded by our Animal Health Team that Avian Influenza is still being detected in the wild bird population in Shropshire. There has been no change in any of the restrictions currently in place for our county. But it may be useful to provide the information below to our town and parishes to encourage continued vigilance and if they feel the need to put out any further communication with the public in their area, there are links below that provide appropriate posters.
APHA has produced some signage (see below) which may be appropriate to erect to advise the public of the need for caution regarding spreading Avian Influenza at locations where AI in wild birds has been detected.

Local elections will be held in the Shropshire Council area on Thursday 1 May 2025 – to elect councillors for Shropshire Council and for town/parish councils in the Shropshire Council area. See formal notices of elections by following the links at the bottom of this page. Elections will only be held for seat/councils that are contested. Operation Snap. As part of West Mercia police's Operation Snap, members of the public can report and submit digital footage showing potential traffic offences via a secure online form (see link below). This can range from driving dangerously or carelessly to overtaking on solid white lines, using a mobile phone while driving, ignoring traffic lights or dangerous driving around other road users, such as horse riders and cyclists.
